Evgeniya Spalinger was born in Moscow in a musician’s family. Starting her studies at the Tchaikovsky central music school for highly gifted children with Prof. Yuri Dolzhikov she became a scholarship holder of V.Spivakov and M.Rostropovich charity foundations and toured Europe, Kuwait and the USA. Further studies took Evgeniya to Switzerland, where she enjoyed an
all-round education with such world famous flutists as Felix Renggli, Maria Goldschmidt, Marc Hantai (transverse flute), and Mario Caroli (contemporary music).

She acquired her orchestral experience as a member of:

Evgeniya’s main interest lies in performing and spreading of contemporary music. She premiered over 50 works for flute solo and ensemble and collaborated with such ensembles as:

  • Ensemble Contrechamps
  • Ensemble Ars Braemia (CH)
  • Ensemble Divertimenti (IT)
  • Ensemble KYMATIC (RU)

She is two times winner of Swiss national woodwind competition in Riddes:

  • 2010, 2nd.prize (1st.prize not awarded)
  • 2011 – 1st.prize.

Participant of the most important flute competitions:

  • ARD competition (DE, 2010, 2nd round)
  • International Kobe flute competition (JP, 2013, second round)
  • Nielsen flute competition (DK, 2019)

Evgeniya won several competitions as a chamber musician:

  • 1st prize of the international chamber music competition “Svirel” in Slovenia (2014)
  • 1st prize winner of the international chamber music
    competition for guitar “Bale Valle”, Croatia (2016)
  • 1st prize of the international chamber music competition “Danubia Talents” in Hungary (2017), both with the Swiss guitarist Marisa Minder as Duo Diversitas.
